Sunday was an amazing day for taking a hike along the trails of Grindstone Creek in Burlington, also known as one of the parks of the Royal Botanical Gardens. We were amazed on how many people had come out to enjoy the weather and get some photography in. Amongst the tree tops we spotted this Juvenile Cooper’s Hawk just blowing in the wind. It was so small we weren’t really sure what type of Hawk it was so we figured take a photo and look it up online later. With the markings on his head and ploumage we found out that it was a young Cooper’s Hawk. What a nice find. Still hoping to get a photograph of the Bald Eagles that are supposed to be there as well. Maybe next time!
