Every year our family goes up to Algonquin Provincial Park to unplug and unwind. There is nothing like listening to the wind in the pines and the call of the loon to relax the soul. This year the spring flowers were a little later than usual so we were able to see quite a few that we never had seen or photograph before. These are just a few of our findings:
The gem of the forest flowers “The Pink Ladies Slipper” found growing along the Big Pines Trail, Algonquin Provincial Park
Wild Calla Lilly found growing in the pond at Beaver Pond Trail Algonquin Provincial Park
The name speaks for itself, Starflower, also a shade spring flower growing in Algonquin Provincial Park
A tiny spring flower called Fringed Polygala growing in the shade along the Logging Museum Trail in Algonquin Provincial Park
Bunchberries growing in the shaded areas of Algonquin Provincial Park
A Bullhead Lilly Photographed in the ponds along Beaver Pond Trail, Algonquin Provincial Park
